Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by bacteria. It can occur in anyone who is having sex and can be asymptomatic or cause abnormal discharge, burning with urination, testicular pain, vaginal bleeding between periods, pelvic pain, sore throat, or rectal pain, bleeding or discharge. Having gonorrhea can increase your risk of getting HIV. In severe cases, it can result in infertility, joint or blood stream infection, or increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy. Rates of gonorrhea are increasing throughout the U.S., and more people are getting gonorrhea that is resistant to some of the antibiotics used to treat it. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about half of all gonorrhea infections each year are resistant to at least one antibiotic.
The Denver Sexual Health Clinic has been monitoring local trends in antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea to make sure that the recommended drug treatment is working. Our goal is to quickly identify, treat, and stop the spread of antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea. Your first step is to get tested and treated! If you still have symptoms after completing treatment, be sure to get tested again. Use condoms to protect yourself from gonorrhea and other STDs.

Pricing without insurance is self-pay, there is no sliding scale, but the clinic can do an enrollment appointment to see if you qualify for their discount program. Patients with symptoms can be seen at Urgent Care and patients without symptoms must call for an appointment with Primary Care.
For our patients without medical insurance or who choose not to use their insurance plan, we offer a discounted fee for the first primary care visit of $150 per visit. Subsequently, our established patients may be seen on a non-urgent basis by appointment in our regular medical clinic for $100 per visit. Established patients are patients we have treated one or more times at Green Valley Ranch Medical Clinic. The fees above do not include procedures, laboratory services and x-rays. These discounted fees are only available at time of service.
In addition to primary care and urgent care services, Green Valley Ranch Medical Center offers onsite mental/behavioral health and crisis counseling with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Counseling services are covered by most insurance payers including Colorado Medicaid/Health First Colorado. A cash discount is offered for cash paying patients.

Stout Street Health Center is a resource for those experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness, or patients who have Medicaid. They do STD testing and treatment, and COVID-19 testing if presenting symptoms. New patients must do a walk-in appointment. Established patients can walk-in or call to schedule an appointment for STD testing.
