**Denver Health has not yet received the updated 2023 COVID-19 boosters but we expect to soon. Please contact your provider or clinic directly to inquire about the new booster shots. We will update this webpage when it is available and we thank you for your patience.**
The COVID-19 vaccine is available at the Immunization and Travel Clinic, at Denver Health, and other locations throughout the state of Colorado. We offer COVID-19 vaccines for patients aged 6 months and up.
Vaccines offered:
- Pfizer Monovalent
- Pfizer Bivalent*
- Moderna Bivalent*
*Bivalent vaccines are available to age groups approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Two COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers, Pfizer and Moderna, have developed updated (bivalent) COVID-19 boosters. The new (bivalent) boosters protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5. If your age group is eligible, you are able to receive a bivalent booster two months after completion of the primary vaccine series or your last booster.
Previous boosters are called “monovalent” because they were designed to protect against the original virus strain that causes COVID-19. They also provide some protection against Omicron, but not as much as the updated (bivalent) boosters.
