Some sexual health and family planning needs require medical attention sooner than others. We strive to provide as many services as we can to as many people as we can. For this reason, we might not be able to offer you an appointment and instead recommend you seek care at another clinic including our urgent care.
- The Denver Sexual Health Clinic can see people as young as 14 years.
- Individuals aged 14-17 years old are able to receive confidential services in our clinic without parental consent.
- Our clinic staff will call you if any of your results are positive to talk next steps.
- We strongly encourage all our patients to sign up for the Denver Health MyChart. Your results will be available for you on MyChart as soon as they are resulted by our lab.
No. We do not require referrals to have an appointment with us. In some cases, your doctor may send us a referral. Our medical staff will review the referral to see if it is for something we are able to provide services for.
- Some of our appointments can be done over the telephone, but not all. Our front desk staff can let you know if your visit can be over the telephone.
- You must be in the State of Colorado at the time of your telehealth appointment.
- If you need any laboratory testing after a telehealth appointment, our providers will place lab orders at the time of your appointment. After your appointment, you can then go to the Outpatient Medical Center Laboratory to complete your lab tests.
- We offer some vaccines, however eligibility varies based on vaccine type, availability, and patient coverage status. Talk to your provider during your visit about what vaccines you are eligible for.
- The Public Health Institute at Denver Health also has an Immunization Clinic where you can inquire about and obtain vaccines.
- No. The person needing an appointment needs to speak with our front desk staff to be scheduled in our clinic. This includes people aged 14-17 years old.
- If you or the person needing an appointment doesn't speak English, our front desk has access to certified interpreters for over 200 languages.
Denver Health has a team of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners based out of the Adult Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department that are specialized to help you navigate this challenging time. They can be reached 24 hours a day at 303-602-3007.
