While an effective vaccine to prevent Human Papillomavirus (HPV)-associated cancer has been available for more than a decade, many parents have not made the choice to vaccinate their pre-teens and teens for reasons such as safety, knowledge and lack of strong provider recommendation.
What is HPV?
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States. There are more than 150 types of HPV which can cause different health issues, including cancer and warts. About 14 million new infections of HPV occur in men and women in the U.S. each year.
Who is at risk for HPV?
We offer flu shots! We currently have supplies of 2024-2025 flu vaccine and recommend that everyone aged 6 months and older get the flu shot. If you have Medicaid or private insurance, the flu vaccine has no co-pay. If you lack health insurance, we offer no- and low-cost flu vaccine. For Children and Adults with Insurance
For both children and adults, we accept Medicaid (Health First Colorado), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) and most private insurances except for Kaiser Permanente, Veterans Administration (VA), Humana, and some CIGNA plans. Adults with Medicare Part D should plan to receive some vaccinations at the Denver Health pharmacy or another community pharmacy.

We take pride in being a full-service immunization clinic to fully protect our community. We have a variety of vaccines which may be required for school, work, travel, and/or immigration. The Immunization and Travel Clinic also responds to outbreaks or illness in our community by offering protection against vaccine preventable diseases. With Medicaid, Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), and most commercial insurances, vaccines are covered with no co-pay.
Please bring your identification card, insurance card (if applicable) and your, or your child’s, immunization records to every appointment.
Travel vaccinations are not discounted and never billed to insurance, including Medicaid. Please see the cost of travel vaccines for out-of-pocket pricing, which is payable at the time of your appointment. You may request an itemized receipt during your visit if you would like documentation of your payment or if you wish to submit the information to your insurance company.
